Unable to open link in Outlook Express and Outlook
|
After auto updating of Windows, I am unable to open any links that come with email messages (in Outlook & Outlook Express). I have also tried holding Ctrl key but no success.
Tried to Restore the System to a previous date but none is available.
Any suggestion please?
I have Windows Recovery CD for the PC but I would rather use it as a last resource.

good2talk , start by Reregistering some DLL's .
With Internet Explorer and O.E. closed
Click start then run. In the open box type in msimn /reg, and then click OK. ( nothing will show after you've done this ).
Follow the same procedure for
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 browseui.dll
After each entry a box should appear telling you it's been successful.
Finally , open Internet Explorer and click on tools > internet options > programs tab > and click on the "make default" tab > apply > OK.
