Hi, i have been using msn messenger 7.5 on windows xp standard for ages, but now it says i have to upgrade to windows live messenger in order to continue using messenger. I upgrade to the new live messenger but after i rebooted up after installing, it says ''The application failed to initialise properly (0xc0000005). Click on ok to terminate the application'' The comp now says this everytime i boot up. Does anyone have any help on resolving this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mainsone |

I also had problems with the new live messanger thing and like you, I was happy using 7.5! Also, I use XP so can sympathise with you. Unfortunately, I could get NO remedy. Windows live kept crashing my pc so in the end, I uninstalled it completely and installed Yahoo messanger instead. Apparently you can communicate with people that use windows messanger. How to rectify the widows live thing seems a mystery. I got fed up with it in the end and installed yahoo messanger instead. |

Are you using a Sony Vaio or any other Sony product (Sony MP3 player)? If so, go to Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel and remove the SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter. If that's not there, try uninstalling any other SonicStage branded software. After that, restart and try Messenger again. |
