I have just updated my pc to SP2 (yes, I know, but better late than never !) In doing so I have created a problem within OE. I have several "Favourites" set up on eBay and I elected to get an email when new items arive on the auction site. Prior to updating there would be a brief item description and a small image in any emails that I got (assuming of course that there was an image on eBay). But since updating I do not get the small image with the item in the email, only a white box with a red X in the top left hand corner where the image should be. I should add that when I go into eBay then the images are there for me to see. I assume that I need to turn something on somewhere so that I can see the images in my emails. I should add that after the update the pc wanted me to use Outlook rather than OE but I'm used to OE so set it as the default emailing prog. P3, 256Mb memory, SP2, XP Pro. OE6 Thanks in advance for any help received. Scooby |

Open Outlook Express > Tools > Options > Security > Un-check 'Block images and other external content . . . . ' > Apply/OK Note this feature is a security issue to protect the recipient of the mail from possible infection. |

You're welcome ![]() Just to add, SP2 also prevents the opening of attachments in Outlook Express. Again for your own protection. To over come this, use the path shown above, but un-check 'Do not allow attachments to be saved . . . ' > Apply/OK. |
