Thunderbird keeps asking for password

Every time I open Thunderbird it asks me for a password before continuing. I give it the correct password but it rejects it. Small matter: I only have to click on Cancel and I'm in. But I'm getting tired of it all. Is there a way out of this?

Sounds to me as if you've got more than one email account setup in Thunderbird, one of which is not working properly. Go to Tools Account Settings. How many accounts are showing in the left hand column and are they all correct?

I and others have posted this problem before on various forums, but yours is the first real solution I have seen!
