Outlook 2003 not responding

Hope I'm posting this in the right place as I could do with some suggestions as to what might be wrong.

I've been having problems with Outlook for a couple of weeks now, getting progressively worse.
I've posted a HJT log on here and had some help to check that I'm virus/malware free.

PC is running Windows XP with SP2 installed.
Also have and install updates for ZA, AVG, Spyware Blaster, AVG Anti-Spyware, SpyBot S&D

Symptons : Can open Outlook fine but,
- Constantly freezes on me when trying to switch between folders or move between emails in a folder.
- Unable to delete more than one or 2 emails in one go.
- When it goes to non responding, the Processes tab shows Outlook at 98% CPU
- When I open Task Manager when it locks up, it shows 2x Outlook in the Applications box when I can only see 1 copy in use (and as far as I know that's all there is my PC)
- If I close Outlook and send an error report to Microsoft, 50% of the time it tells me I have to be connected but I am.

This is what the last error report containted -
szAppName : OUTLOOK.EXE szAppVer : 11.0.8118.0 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

C:\DOCUME~1\Denise\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERe540.dir00\OUTLOOK.EXE.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Denise\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERe540.dir00\appcompat.txt

It makes no difference if I work online or select File/Work Offline.

Any ideas what I can check to resolve this?
TIA

Re: Outlook 2003 not responding

You could try a 'Detect and Repair' via the Help tab in the Menu Bar. You may need your Office installation disc at hand if asked for.

You can also try downloading updates relative to your version from this link . . . >> Product Updates
