How to set up displaying a PDF within my page

I am calling up the display of a PDF file from a button on one of me web pages and wondered a few things:
1) How can I put up a message saying "Please wait while Acrobat Reader is loading" or, if they haven't got it, "Acrobat Reader is needed to view this file"
2) Is there any way to force Reader to display at a given viewing size, say 75%, and to make sure the bookmarks tab is open
3) Is it possible to force Reader to exist in a table cell on my page rather than load as its own window
