Web page recognition

Hi
First of all let me introduce myself. as this is my first post I will apologise in advance if I inadvertently tread on any toes through lack of knowledge.
My problem is I have had a web site built to sell a product but am not getting much traffic. I have subscribed to Goggle adWord but have not had a single bite. it is a specialist cleaner for boats and I have added just about every link word I know to no avail. Can anybody lead me onto the right track? am I in the right Forum?
Thank you in anticipation
Regards
Dave

Re: Web page recognition

Use link exchanges to get links to your site. Obv use sites that are related and join some forums on boats and spread the word

Re: Web page recognition

Thanks for that
I have been spreading the word around, I guess it just takes time. Shame there isn't any software that could help speed things up a bit

Re: Web page recognition

Is your site listed on Google?

Find out by typing:

site:www.yourdomain.com into the search box. It'll tell you what pages, if any, are listed by Google.

Re: Web page recognition

PS. Did you build the site yourself or pay someone to do it? If you paid someone then surely part of the contract was optimising and promoting your site?
