"Scrap" image

Hi

I have been given a word doc on 3.5 floppy disk with a logo image on it. I want to host this image on a web page or through an on-line host like image shack, but I have encountered difficulties becouse it is a "scrap" image and an unsupported format.

How can I change this to a jpeg or other supported format?

THX

Re: "Scrap" image

If you can actually see the image on the word file on your screen, press PrintScreen, which will store an image of your screen to the clipboard.

Open your graphics package (even Paint will suffice) and press Ctrl-V, or got o Edit>>>Paste.

Then select your logo in Paint, cut and paste into a New file. Save it as Bitmap, Jpeg, Png, Gif, whatever you like.

Hope this helps.

Re: "Scrap" image

another trick is to open the word document then save it as a web page. Choose html rather than words default mhtmlWord will then save the document as an html page plus separate files for each image it contains - then just pick the image you want and delete the rest

Re: "Scrap" image

That's even better!!!

Your problem should be solved now, between the two methods above.

Good luck.

Re: "Scrap" image

I tried the screen shot method but could not crop the image, all I got was the whole page toolbars and all, but I can think of plenty of other uses for that trick.

The html method has worked a treat and the logo has been successfully uploaded

Thankyou both for your help.
