I'd give my left arm to illegalise pop ups

Hi, I run AOL Broadband (no booing please) on a brand new systen i bought last month. unfortunately when i purchased the computer it seemes adament that i should be using supanet and every time i started up i had a message to subscribe to supanet. My brother had the same problem and said if i register with them and just don't use it the message goes away. I did this and now pop ups use IE and supanet (somehow) as a gateway to getting around AOL's pop up blocker. I get about 3 pop ups a minute (especially when kazaa is running) and it is making a spanking new computer run as quickly as a legless OAP. I am also having a problem with my CPU, the computer stops and when i press Ctrl Alt + Del it says the CPU usage is 100% and hence everything goes arse over tit. I have been putting it through it's paces a bit with a BB connection and lots of music to be downloaded but i'm sure this shouldn't be happenoing with a brand new PC.

Try downloading and running REGISTRY MECHANIC. Also a program called (I think) Hijack this

Duffbrewerys

Go to this site, and download 'Hijack This!'.

Unzip it, launch Hijack This, then press Scan, and press Save Log

This will generate a text file that will list all running processes, all applications that are loaded automatically when you start Windows, and more.

open that file
Go to Edit | Select all
Now click Edit | copy to copy it
Come back to web user, Right Click and paste its contents here

Re: I'd give my left arm to illegalise pop ups

Ok nothing to untoward there, I assume that yo are now using AOL rather than Supanet as your ISP

Restart your Hijack this and put a check marl against the following

O2 - BHO: myBar BHO - {0494D0D1-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\Program Files\MyWay\myBar\1.bin\MYBAR.DLL
O3 - Toolbar: &SearchBar - {0494D0D9-F8E0-41ad-92A3-14154ECE70AC} - C:\Program Files\MyWay\myBar\1.bin\MYBAR.DLL
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RealTray] C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\RealPlay.exe SYSTEMBOOTHIDEPLAYER

Click Fix checked
Now go to this page and turn off Windows Messenger

Then go o this page and chooses one of the pop up stoppers suggested
