The top part of my Internet Explorer window has the title page followed by "- Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by BT openworld". This extra bit of information only put in an appearance after some changes ("improvements") that my ISP got me to implement a few months ago. This is only a minor irritation, but I would like to remove these words. Can it be done? |

Yes it can. Click on start then run & type in REGEDIT. Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main". Change "Window Title" to whatever you want (or just remove the "provided by" part". Maybe for once someone will call me "Sir" without adding "you're making a scene" Homer J. Simpson |

Gaze upon your branded logo for the last time. Close all browser windows. Go to Start, choose Run, and type or paste "rundll32 iedkcs32.dll,Clear" without the quotes. Hit Enter. Open a browser window. Jump with joy as you gaze upon your default browser branding which will now be the MS one. http://www.oceaneagle.fsnet.co.uk/ |

Thanks ever so much, I now have what I want, at least at the top of my browser window. There were two methods suggested and I happened to use the one from Homer, but I am sure Byron's method would be effective too. |

Thanks Homer, I am having a very good day. All my problems on and off the computer are going away today, as a result of seeking help and finding it. Danny |

<wishes his post was as humourous as Byron's> Maybe for once someone will call me "Sir" without adding "you're making a scene" Homer J. Simpson |

Can this method be reversed? |

Yes, using Homer's method Of all the Things I've lost, I miss my mind the most |
