Re: ie errors

You can check these in Hijack this if you didn't choose superwebsearch as a search engine, other than that it is a clean log.
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer,SearchURL = http://www.superwebsearch.com/ie/
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.superwebsearch.com/ie/
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://www.superwebsearch.com/ie/
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.superwebsearch.com/ie/
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = http://www.superwebsearch.com/ie/

Click Fix checked

When you next get the error message, can you click Details and give us the full error message

Re: ie errors

to be honest i don't know how that got there as i have never visited that site. But that does'nt help explain why ie is such a pain, and closes down, it's really frustrating as it always happens when i'm filling long forms in.

Re: ie errors

Doh, Am I stupid or what?

Ok your problem appears to lie in the fact you are running two anti virus programs

I suggest that you uninstall either PC-cillin or Norton. You only need one on your system

Re: ie errors

i only have them both installed because my norton doesnt seem to work whilst online so i use pc-cillin for online protection but my friend told me i need to use norton atleast for offline scanning as it does a more in-depth scan, is this true? and which one should i uninstall?

Re: ie errors

Your AV is only as good as the updates it receives, but PC-cillin is the better one, in my humble opinion
