IE Problem

I'm on AOL Broadband, but whenever I click on an update, or another button within a program it always brings up IE and a blank screen.

Is there any way I can set AOL to come up when these buttons are clicked?

For example, I run Norton Systemworks, but if I click on a button to link me to the symantec site, IE opens with a blank page.

Re: IE Problem

Try this

Go to Start | Run

Type in regsvr32 urlmon.dll

and press OK

If that doesn't work, type in regsvr32 and each of one of the following lines in turn

Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Actxprxy.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll
(Windows XP and Windows 2000 only)

and press OK

Re: IE Problem

I tried each of those in turn, after each an info box came up to say successful, but still no joy.

I click on a button to connect me to a website and IE pops up with a blank page.

Could it be a problem with IE?

It works if I type in an url.

If it helps the rest of my system is :

Win XP Home, P4 24, 512DDR, 70Gb HD, 64Mb GeForce4 MX440

Oh, and I'm running McAfee Personal Firewall, the one thats free with AOL Broadband
