Hi I recently had a problem, which needed me to download a file on another computer to get things working again. This involved a program needed by Internet Explorer. I was told that if I had had Firefox browser installed I could have solved the problem very easily. I don’t want to be caught out again, but have few questions, I would like answered if possible. Is Firefox as good as IE Or is it better My family and I all know IE so could I install Firefox, but leave it in the background … for emergency use only Many thanks ! |

There is a never ending story called "Is Firefox better than IE?" Rather than open up that old story I'll stick to facts. Yes, you can have both FF and IE on your PC and use either as it takes your fancy. You will be asked if you want to make one or other your default browser and you can answer yes or no as you like. |

I kinda had the same problem and was going to do exactly what you are saying. I installed Firefox and have never gone back to I.E. I think Firefox is 100% better. The add ons that they have are great.Foxmarks is one that lets you store your bookmarks and access them from any computer or if you have to format your hard drive you can restore them with a click of the button.I think the only problem I had was setting up my tool bar.Not that its hard just not the way your use to setting one up. |
