can't access some web pages

Hi

Hope someone can help because I'm at a loss now. I have a problem logging in to Amazon, which says I need to enable cookies (I have!) and trying to add stuff to shopping baskets on a couple of other websites( won't add items properly/they don't show up). Most websites are fine and I can browse/shop normally. I have emailed the companies and they have been no help-just suggested obvious.

Now I have cleared internet files, history, cookies etc under internet options. Set security to medium, added sites in question to list of trusted sites etc ect. I located the cookie folders on my computer and deleted those too.Cookies are enabled too. None of this has worked. We have Norton installed on our computer and have tried temporarily turning this off, disabling firewall etc and that doesn't work either.

Does anyone have any suggestions as this is driving me mad now? We have windows xp and internet explorer 7. Please go easy-not a computer expert Are there some hidden files I need to delete?

Thanks

Re: can't access some web pages

so while nosing through the forums saw the thing about cloaked-so tries one of the sites I couldn't access through them and it worked-added item to basket. So is this a problem with my IP address or cookies. As said I have tried everything with the cookies. How do I sort it if it is an IP prob. Is it anything to do with modem?

My other half deals with that so not sure how to turn on and off-we have D-link wireless I think?

any help?
