Does anyone know why is it that I can play Youtube videos straight from the link in IE7 but just get a load of text if I try to do the same in Firefox? I use Firefox as a preference and it's annoying to have to open up IE7 just for this. Any suggestions welcome...thanks Viv |

YouTube videos (Flash presentations) should play in Firefox. Have you got the latest version of Flash Player installed? It should be version 9,0,47,0. Check your version here: http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/ |

Thank you so much - you were exactly right! I thought I had an automatic updater on the PC which should tell me when updates are available - obviously not. Thanks again. Viv |

Secunia has released a beta version of a software inspector tool that checks to see if your system has the latest versions of Flash, Java etc. It also lists much of the other software installed on your computer. Installing the program puts a shortcut in the 'Startup' folder so that it starts with Windows and puts an icon in the SysTray. I'd suggest the program doesn't need to be monitoring constantly and the shortcut can be removed. Perhaps just start the program manually from time to time and press the program's 'Scan Now' option. https://psi.secunia.com/ |
