How do I turn off the WebUser Click?

Can someone please tell me how to turn off the irritatingly loud two clicks that come through my PC's speakers every time I access a page here on WebUser?

These clicking sounds don't occur on any other website I use - only here on WebUser, and it happens regardless of whether I'm logged in or not.

I *could* turn off my speakers whenever I access this site but surely, there must be some less drastic way of getting rid of these infuriating clicks?

Re: How do I turn off the WebUser Click?

First open control panel (Start then click control panel) and open up the "Sounds and Audio Devices".

That will open a new window and from there click on the Sounds tab, under Program events scroll down to the Windows Explorer section, under that heading you'll find the Start Navigation event.

The Sounds box will now display the sound that plays every time a link is selected, simply change it to none and press the OK button.

or switch to an alternate browser other than IE

Thank you very much for your help, Mouse. Your instructions have worked perfectly - no more clicks! Delighted that I can now enjoy the WU forums without sound effects.

Appreciatively,
