There is something about Internet Explorer 7 which I upgraded to a couple of days ago that tells me "I wish I hadn't". I'm not having trouble with adapting to the layout by the way. When I go on-line, it takes something like 4 mins for a connection to be made, as aginst almost immeadiate with "6". Then, as I progress through my various regular sites, "bleep" and a message arrives :- Your security settings do not allow websites to use ActiveX controls on your computer, Clic here for options". Actually I wasn't aware of this narrow band untill I went to my Swanage Council streaming webcam and the pic failed to display and read through the reasons. They had said, go to Int.Ex > tools > opt and temorarily lower your security settings. I'm now wondering if I enabled/disabled anything I shouldn't. Either way, as an aside, I have read that a number of people have elected to return to Int/Ex 6. If I were to do that, is it a case of going to programmes, unsubscribing Int/Ex 7 and then will 6 still be there?. If not, maybe someone would explain clearly the procedure and they say if by doing it, settings would be as I left them two days ago. |

Quote: Uninstall actually in Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, Windows Internet Explorer 7. IE6 will reappear. |
