IE application error

Everytime I shut down IE I keep getting an error message which read as follows:

iexplore.exe - Application error
The instruction at "Ox7e1f9af3" referenced memory at "Ox7dc48950"
The memory could not be "read"
Click on ok to terminate the program

Then I get a warning from zone alarm about IE crash detection.

What is the error and how do I stop it from happening/fix it?

Re: IE application error

Given the number of places on the forum that you have been posting about problems with your computer and the fact that you've been told that your hard disk is on the way out, it strikes me that you need to do something about that before worrying about everything else. I would guess all your problems revolve round that issue and until you fix that, nothing else will work properly.

Re: IE application error

Fair enough, that's a valid point.

But obviously many of the people on here know more about computers then I do and I didn't think it would hurt to ask incase it's something not directly related to my current hard drive problems and was just a system thing.

Thanks anyway.
