Hi Guys, I have a problem time to time with my laptop using Window XP pro SP2, Pentium M. When open some web pages using IE7 a message "Internet Explorer has encounter a problem and needs to close" is show up, and choosing 'send' or 'don't send' all IE is closed and lost. I never have touch the original settings in IE and I don't know why this is happening. Of course if I open the same web pages in other computer everything is normal. I would appreciate any help please. Jose |

ONE Thing you could try is to clear all your cookies and temporary internet files, just done this with ff and is working better, try it |

When you get the "Internet Explore needs to close etc" send or don't send have you clicked on the "click here". This usually tells you why it had to close. If you "Send" you can then get a report from Microsoft and then maybe rectify the problem |

I have cleared all cookies and temporary internet files, scan for spyware malware and ad-ware, and my laptop look clean of these. However the problem still there. If I open some web pages in my laptop the message "Internet Explorer has encounter a problem and needs to close" is show up, but if I open the sames pages in my PC, I don't have this problem. I have "sent" the report to microsoft many times, but I never have received a reply. |

You won't get a reply from Microsoft because they've got no way of knowing who sent them the report. Can I assume you have got all the Microsoft Critical and optional updates? |

|
That's correct. My laptop is set to load automatically any suggested update. |

You say it works OK on your PC. What sort of connection have you got to the internet? Do you connect both your laptop and your PC through the same piece of equipment? |
