Firefox connection problem

I have successfully downloaded firefox and connected to the internet but after a few minutes I lose the connection.
I also have a desktop running Windows XP and have no problem with firefox on that
I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had the same problem and did they manage to get it resolved.

You say you have no problem with Firefox on your desktop, so where do you have a problem with it? A laptop or where and what OS in this case? Sorry not to be helpful, but can you be more specific please!

I have a new Dell Inspiron Laptop running Windows Visa Home Premium.
It came preloaded with IE7 which seems to work okay.
But I prefer Firefox which,unfortunately, keeps crashing.

Have you got the latest version of Firefox? This is v2.0.0.4. I don't have Vista or a Dell laptop, but have a look at this thread from the Firefox forums which may be helpful.
