bt broadband probs- please help!!!!!!!!!!

hi there, i have got filters installed on both my phone sockets and my broadband is 2mb from bt. i'm using the green alcatel frog modem which works fine. Everything was cool till a couple of weeks ago since when my broadband keeps on dissconnecting- it really sucks! i've noticed that even with filters installed my phone lines are noisey and also squealy. if i dissconnect my broadband wire from the filter all my phones sound crystal clear but as soon as the broadband is connected to the system they become noisey and i have a feeling this is contributing to my constant dissconnections. please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like you need a new micro filter on one or both the phones. Have you tried with just 1 phone plugged in at any one time to see which one is causing the problem?

thanks for the quick reply, but even with just one phone connected and i've tried 3 different filters, the phone becomes crackly so i'm really stumped!

Try a different cable from the modem/router to the phone socket.

I may be saying the obvious but have you changed the filter which the modem plugs into also.
