Aol broadband sports services-Illusions?

Hi,
I have been using AOL broadband Gold for a few months.
Before that, they advertised that I could watch sky sports broadband with it.
May be it was my fault (not reading small prints, terms and conditions carefully).
So i thought I could save £5 a month. Great!
But when I recieve the broadband, it was only sky sport broadband limited edition.
Then, I tried to log in from sky sports website with aol user name and password but it was no use.
during next times, the links from AOL didn't work. they redirect me to advertisements of pletinum broadband.
AOL was not giving me easily even limited edition.
Then when perimeirship season starts now, I cannot use sky sport braodband completely. every time I press the link, they(sky) tell me to log in.

it is more like a promotion than a service.
I will not phone them since I have been told they will solve the problems AOL supported only( in router problem).

So anyone intersted in their services, I want to tell you read carefully!
You might find a phrase like "We can stop service any time we want".

I would like to hear similar stories.

Re: Aol broadband sports services-Illusions?

I wondered where that had gone to (not a great footy fan) but my brothers are
I think there are some Far Eastern sites which do carry some Live coverage (albeit unofficially)
Type "streaming television Soccer live" into Google and it may produce something?
For other sports substitute "soccer" with the sport you want to view
If anyone has any luck post the site address here Thanks

Re: Aol broadband sports services-Illusions?

you are right.
I found the sites such as tvforus and tv4all which contains streaming sports media.
But often I cannot connect those servers(server is not online, busy-massages).
It is still ok if I can't watch matches online.

But I am afraid that other services from AOL can suffer anytime.
I chose AOL mainly because of uncapped usage.
If other services suffer like this, I may consider another ISP.
