broadband hackers?

Can you get hacked if you use broadband? I had a £20 phone call £1.50 per munute, 12 minutes! to a High Prem 0909 internet access number.NTL told me it is an "Adult only" internet site. A company called ICSTIS is investigating this company, which is based in Germany. Has anyone else had anything like this happen?

Re: broadband hackers?

If you are a Broadband user you will not be affected by this, as long as you have disconnected the internal dial-up modem from your phone socket and don't use this modem to make fax or voice calls.

Re: broadband hackers?

Thanks alot, that has put my mind at rest! At least I now know that this call definately was not made, and I will now have to take further action to get my £20 back.
Cheers
