A lot of Rescue systems require you to boot your computer from a floppy disc before inserting your CD. If the programme you are using demands a floppy then that's what you'll have to use. |

The programe I am using is Window$ XP pro (service pack 2)itself, plus how many computers have floppy disc drives nowadays? also someone out there must know a way around this, so if you do know a way PLEASE let me know, it would be a great help to me and possibly many others. And I thank you in advance.

The closest thing I can find to what you want is a CD image that will allow you to boot into recovery console (download). You'd have to extract the zip file and burn the iso file that you get as a result. Re-installing and repairing installations are more the job of a full fledged XP disc. As long as you keep backups of your important data, you should be fine regardless of what happens to the PC. GMAC |
