Spare cables etc

Does anyone have any good ideas for disposing of all the cables, connectors etc that mount up each time we buy new computers, printers and other peripherals. I would hate to put them in the bin - many are new and still in their packets.
Thanks for any help!

Couple of things you could do, keep them as they may come in handy for replacements.

Sell them on eBay and make a couple of quid.

Give them away to friends, family or your local charity shop.

Make an arty design and sell it for a few million quid to some posh bloke

As most of them will have copper wire inside and the scrap value of copper is astronomical (round about £4000 a tonne or about two quid for a pound) you might want to strip off all the insulation and get a few bob for the wire from your local scrappy.
