Hi! I've a problem now about my newly-bought mouse(or rather its software/driver) which came in a combo with a keyboard...the product is Logitech's Cordless Desktop EX110. When I installed the software/mouse/keyboard yesterday I was still able to change the function of the 3rd button(scrollwheel) from the default "zoom" to "middle button"...I did this so I can click on the 3rd button/middle button whenever I want to open a site into a new tab. This change in button function was done by double clicking the Logitech SetPoint icon in my taskbar then going into the "My Mouse" tab in the SetPoint Dialog Box(there's also a "My Keyboard" tab and "Tools" tab) that appeared. But only this morning I noticed that the "My Mouse" tab is missing, only the "My Keyboard" tab and the "Tools" tab remain. ![]() When I did a search in Google about this "missing mouse tab in SetPoint" I came across this forum topic which indicates that it seems to be a common problem, though what was discussed in the forum was a different model from my keyboard&mouse combo. Also when I look up into my Control Panel>Mouse>Hardware>this is what I get ![]() and when I click on Properties this is what turns up and when I go to the Driver tab this is what I get ![]() It is rather weird that what shows up is Microsoft instead of Logitech which makes me suspect that I might not have installed properly the driver or the mouse. (I installed Microsoft's Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000 prior to this but uninstalled and changed it to the Logitech one.) As of this moment i can still use my mouse, no problem so far, but i want to bring back the "mouse" tab so that I can change the function of the buttons if the needs arises in the future. I hope somebody can help me on this. Thanks! |
