I'm having same problem again (please look at previous post!) I have since returned faulty memory to crucial..they have sent replacement memory..I tried this at the weekend but I was away without internet connection. I had no errors and I even managed to encode and convert a few films to DivX.
I thought i'd better check it on internet when I got back. Sure enough I'm getting strange horrizontal lines appearing again!!! but only on "You Tube" sites.
This wouldn't bother me but it isn't my lap-top. I've cleared cookies scanned for virus's, spyware etc...scanned with ad-aware, also spybot and also ZONE ALARM....I also scanned with microsoft's "WINDOWS LIVE ONE-CARE".
Surely this isn't a fault with the memory again?!!
This is so annoying...I've done quite a few memory upgrades for friends,family etc...but never came accross this problem before!!!
