Computer keeps turning itself off

I turn the computer on - it lasts varying amounts of time and then shuts down. Its a lap top and has been back to PC World and was OK for a while and then this started again. Any ideas?

Are you getting any error messages when it shuts down or is it just powering off?
Also what is the make and model of your laptop?
