Annoying refresh thing with folder views!

There is one thing that has been bugging the life out of me and I would really appreciate help on this.

when viewing a folder, particularlly one with images, I view it on "Filmstrip" option.

While going through them, I will find images I want to delete
Heres where it gets annoyiing...
When I delete an image (Or even rotate it) once the action has been done, the viewer goes back to the first image!

I then have to scroll all the way along again until I find another image I want to delete/rotate. Again, after the action, the folder refreshes and I am back at the start!

This takes up so much time!

Is there something I can do to stop the refresh type action?
After deleting a file, I would like to simply carry on rather than having to scroll through the whole folder again.

If you set the View to Details, the picture is displayed in the left pane and you can simply right-click the name to delete it.

Thanks Burr but the Problem is that by doing that, you dont see the images, you just get an icon.
Even having as view thumbnails, the pics are too small.

The main idea for viewing in the filmstrip mode is so I can get a good view of the image before doing anything.

Re: Annoying refresh thing with folder views!

Details in the left pane will show the picture about 1.5" square, isn't that large enough for you to determine whether you want it or not?

Re: Annoying refresh thing with folder views!

No Burr.

I do know about the different ways of viewing. It is just the way the folder seems to refresh thats the annoying bit. The way it keeps going back to the 1st file.

In "Filmstrip" mode, the images are just the right size so that I can check the image for blur, small things on the image etc.
.
1.5" is no where near enough when you are checking images for quality etc.

Thanks anyway :-)

Re: Annoying refresh thing with folder views!

I didn't realise you wanted to examine them that closely.

Why not open the same folder twice, side by side. One could be viewed in Details and the other in Filmstrip, i.e. view the Filmstrip and use the Detail view for deleting.
