PC won`t boot after holiday.

Hi folks,
We have been away for a week and on return one of the pc`s won`t start up properly, it`s not dead as such it does start but doesn`t reach Windows xp, I`ve actually carted it off to the shop already but he is in the habit of doing a fresh re install everytime and doesn`t explain a lot, anybody any idea why a "sleeping pc" can go wrong, it was unplugged in our absence by the way.

I myself have the answer...............the shop man has just rung and it was down to a "loose connection" possibly caused by humity (very humid where I live) and lack of use, so there you go!!
