Hello, I recently purchased a 5 port usb 2.0 card, I tried to install it into my computer but it wont accept it as a usb 2.0. It works but in just the same way my old ports did (ie not that fast). A message comes up saying 'The driver installation for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be becasue the INF was written for win 95 or later'. Ive tried about 20 times to install the driver from the disk and always refers me to the same driver which doesnt work. (Ive always restored my computer to the same point before starting again though). any help at all would be much appreciated. Ta |

What Operating system are you using? XP shouldn't need drivers, it installs it's own. |

G'day bootle2. Take the 5 way card back to shop and get a 4, 6, or 8 way powered hub. I had one of them plug-in type cards and had nothing but trouble with it. |

I'm assuming it's PCI, so try it in a different slot. |

Do you fit the card first, then point it at the driver on the CD? |

G'day bootle2. As I wrote before, I had nothing but trouble with PCI usb 2.0 card and will never use them again. But, good luck anyway and I hope you crack the problem and get the card to work ok. |
