Hi, Been having problems today and the latest error message i receive is just prior to the windows xp log in screen, when i get a screen that says xmnt 2002 could not be found.........skipping autocheck. Windows then goes onto start. Anyone any idea what this is and how to stop it reoccurring. Running windows xp with service pack 2. Thank you Tony Lee |

You been using Partition Magic recently? Go to Start | Run Type in Regedit Find the following Key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager Highlight it and in the right hand side, you should see a value called BootExecute right click it and click modify Change to the value : autocheck autochk * Note the * (asterisk) which is imperative) Close regedit and reboot your computer "Man's mind once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimension." - Oliver Wendell Holmes |
