I have now acquired various media players but am unsure as to how I reset Windows Media Player to my default media player. Can anyone help ?

Go to Tools | Options | Formats
Choose which file types you want WMP to be the default player for, then click apply.
For WMP XP and WM Player 9 Series Use Tools | Options | File Types
