Yes. You've come to the right place. In case you hadn't noticed, I got pretty annoyed when it kept insisting on "migrating my licences", and even more so when it refused, as it did sometimes.

I think it was Putasolutions who helped me out, so now it's my turn to pass on what I've learned from the master.

First, be sure that you've still got the original CDs. If not, you'll have to re-create them, ideally keeping the tracks in the same order, though not everyone worries too much about this. You'll have to have your "licenses" fully "migrated" to do this, but don't worry. After this you'll never need them again.

In Media Player Options (come back if that needs any clarification) untick everything to do with licences, digital rights and the internet in general. When you've done that, you'll have to open each playlist (or CD) in turn, select the first track and hold the shift key while selecting the last track. This selects them all. Now press the Delete key on your keyboard.

It will ask whether you want to delete the tracks from Media Library only or to completely remove them from the HD. Remove them completely and then re-copy from the original CD or a copy.

A tip. Every time you make a change, it will want to "migrate licences" again, but you can get round this by deleting everything before starting to put it all back.

Also it's worth typing in the "Album Artist" as well as, usually, the same thing for each track.

There's no need to delete downloaded wavs or MP3s. They don't have licenses. It's just wmas.
