I'm about to purchase a sound card, speakers and head set and need some advice.

Basically all I want to do is use it in conjunction with MSN 6 where I see you can now make Internet telephone calls and hold conferences etc (allegedly). I would also like to use it subsequently for music but I am definitely not a gamer. There seems to be huge price differences between the various types I've looked at.
