nero soundtrax problem

Using ADS Instant Music with the Nero Soundtrax wizard to copy tape to cd. Tape copies fine, the saved file plays on the computer fine. The cd it burns doesn't play. Tried with a cd-r and also a cd-rw, neither works. The wizard states it produces a playable cd, shouldn't need to fiddle with conversions. The saved file is .npf whatever that means. Can anyone help please?
