Dvd to Mp4 Conveter

HI Everyone
Does anyone know of a good free converter that will convert dvds etc to mp4 format
so that i can play them on my mobile phone ,I have one of the new sony ericsson w960i
smart phones that has a 8gb internal hard drive and would like to load dvds etc on to it.
