Hi, I have been asked by a friend to put some more music on to her Ipod. I have one but bought it in 2005 and have not used it for a while. Can you keep me right here ? 1/ Do I have to update the ipod via itunes or can it be done with windows media player ? 2/ If I sync my friends ipod with my itunes library will this delete music from her ipod thats not on my itunes and add music to her ipod that is on my itunes ? Sure this is basic stuff but i have not used used ipod or itunes for some time and cant really remember what to do. I use windows media player as my default music player. Thanks in advance |

I have an iPod, I got a bargain as my friend sold me a brand new one that he was given from his employer, as it was £100 cheaper than in the shops at the time I snatched it up. I am not 100% familiar with iTunes, I prefer WMP, because I use it with my 360 to stream music into the living room, as you are aware iPod's and WMP don't sync together, which is a negative from Apple's point of view. There is a 3rd party plug in which I use with WMP to sync the music with the iPod and no deletion techniques are used, whether iTunes would delete music like you state, I cannot comment. The plug in I use is MGTEK dopisp which you can trial for 30 days here. I believe WinAmp syncs with iPods too, and I don't think you need the Pro version either. |
