DRM file is not there

how can I install a drm file/folder, I have had a pc for a couple of years and it has never liked downloaded music. At the very beginning I registed to a reputable download site, and was able to play downloaded music which i had bought, but the next time I played the downloaded music I had to apply for a lisence, and this happened every time, untill i ran out of lisences, about 3 or 4, per track, so I gave up, all i got was that my pc would not store the DRM lisence, and was told to carry out a change in the registry, I was not confident to do what was suggested at the time. Two years later I have downloaded some music to try out and play, and it would not, igot a problem with a missing component in the DRM and an error code "cooc11e2". I have searched my documents and folders and revealled hidden files and folders, but the DRM thing is not there, when I then enter the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MAHINE\software\microsoft\drm, then double click datapath in the right hand pane I see a window with a load of numbers and to the right of that window it says that the DRM folder is in d:\documents and settings\all users\, but when I search there is nothing. I have tried all of microsofts' suggestions but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me,
