Media Player Burn Error

Since I updated to Windows Media Player 11 when I am burning disks I often get this message:

http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/8571/mediaplayererror1lw2.jpg

It does not affect the cd after it has finished burning but when it has finished media player crashes and continues to do so everytime I open it until I switch my computer off.

I cannot restart my computer after I get this message either, when I try it displays the box that says it is ending proccesses which look like they are related to the process I am having trouble with then when it has done that it just sits doing nothing.

I have tried burning CDs with RealPlayer and that works fine so its not a major problem but help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Media Player Burn Error

Disable Error Reporting - it may/may not stop the later crashes but you'll not get the error window.

Re: Media Player Burn Error

Have you tried it yet ? It may or may not fix your problem is what I said.

Re: Media Player Burn Error

To be honest I haven't because I don't see how it would fix the problem it would just stop telling me something was wrong and I don't want to disable error reporting because then programs could close when they run into problems without me knowing and I like to know what is happening.

Re: Media Player Burn Error

Do you use , or have you used Nero ?

Next time the message appears , click on the link to see what the error report contains . Let us know what it says......it may be of some help.

Re: Media Player Burn Error

Yes I do use Nero and I know it is something to do with it because when I look under Neros Programs there is one called INCD Control.

Re: Media Player Burn Error

Check to see if it's on automatic start up. Click on start > control panel > Administrative Tools > Services. Scroll down to the InCD service and double click on it. If it's running click the "stop" button . Now click the dropdown arrow next to the "start up" type. Choose manual > apply > OK.
Let us know if that helps.
