SONICSTAGE MALFUNCTION

To Whom it may concern,

Whilst away recently my new VISTA Computer suddenly decided that it no longer liked the SONY SONICSTAGE program for my music.

Everytime I open it the system closes once the main screen loads up telling me first that "The application has stopped working" and then that "Windows will notify me of a solution when it finds it". It has failed to do this.

I have reloaded the program to no avail.

I did use the backup to save the music already on it. Can I take those files off my computer and then put them on an XP computer with SONICSTAGE that works?

I am planning to buy an IPOD as the user interface is apparently better, but I would like to retrieve my music.

Unless someone out there has a better idea.

Thanks in advance,

BOYCIE

Re: SONICSTAGE MALFUNCTION

Are the music files on your Vista PC hard disk, or on a Sony Mp3 player, and are they Sony Atrac file format or Mp3 format? If they are Mp3 format you should be able to transfer them to another PC, or play them now through Windows Media Player.

The files are on the hard drive...alas. However if I transfer those files onto another computer with SONIC STAGE on they should work?

Re: SONICSTAGE MALFUNCTION

They should - it's worth a try. That's the trouble with SonicStage...once they're converted they stay converted!
