WMP and Winamp won't burn

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help, I can rip music from both Winamp and WMP but can no longer burn both give me fault messages. Does this mean that I need new software (? downloadable)or do I need a new CD driver? Can the driver be downloaded?
Many thanks

Posting the "fault message/s" may help someone solve your problem.

Re: WMP and Winamp won't burn

I was going to list the faults, thanks for your reply. I think I had sort of decided that it has to be a hardware fault. As they were very similar messages in both WMP and Winamp it goes
Nullsoft Burner Error
Error during CD burning process
Library error: The SCSI command sent by the function returned a check condition.
Drive error: Unknown.
I can't actually remember the WMP one but it was as I said along similar lines. I am taking my processor to have a CD drive fitted, the technician reckon as I had had for over 4 years that was good going? They don't seen to be very expensive either. I should learn to fit it myself, I'm sure I could do it.
Thanks Anne
