video clip download

I am trying to down load a video clip, file type "winamp media file"
when opening, a message appears along the lines of
windows media player cannot play file, either corrupt or player does not support format. Assuming it's not corrupt, what would i need to view it.

No, this is not a daft question. I would suggest downloading Winamp. Hopefully you will then be able to play this file.
All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work
