Soundcard or Software Issue?

Hi Forum,

I have a Microstar International MS-6585 MOBO with integrated sound card.

I have always used "microsoft Plus! Analogue Recorder" to record my vinyl etc to CD, and also to record streaming radio/sounds and stuff.

Whilst recording from a 3rd party device (Turntable, cassette deck, Minidisc etc) works fine, I can no longer record streaming, or any sound played from the PC? I still hear the sound, but my recorder says It cannot detect any sound levels. I have tried Audacity as an alternative, but the same problem exists. I haven't changed anything in my set up, and every other sound/music/input/output works exactly as it should.

Anyone with any ideas please????

Nick

Re: Soundcard or Software Issue?

First possible thing to look at is in Sounds in Control Panel and check nothing is unchecked or muted.

Hi Mouse,

Firstly, sorry for posting in the wrong forum!

That was the first thing I checked, all unticked and not muted and "AUX" selected as the device to record.
