cant get radio to play

I have no problem with sound on my laptop generally but I am unable to get any of the radio services to play from sites such as ladbrokes, william hill and betfair for live horse racing commentaries. Is there some settings that I need to adjust to be able to play such audio streams from the internet?

Shouldn't be, unless you need permission to access them.
They're just normal streaming audio?
edit.
I've just tried the William Hill one and it works fine.
Try it with your firewall disabled and see if that makes any difference.
Can you play the BBC's live radio streams OK?

Tried running with fire wall switched off but no change. If it helps, I have tried using both IE and Mozilla but does not work in either!
