on mp3 players is it at all possible to fast foward or rewind track or audio like on a cassette player? or has technology not advanced that far yet..

Depends on your player. They're not all the same, nor do they have the same functions.

You can FF and rewind on an iPod. I had an HP mp3 player once but it would only move forward whole songs. This was at the cheaper end of the market tho'

ok thanks alot, just that some mp3 audio i have lasts 20 mins or so, so wanted something that could ff and rw..

On my MP3 player if you hold the FFWD or RWND button down it does it.
