I am writing this on my new Evesham! I have been given the choice of using either Nero or Easy Cd Creator. Which one would you select. I will download dbpoweramp later, but for now I want to use one of the above. I am looking for easy instructions and a burner suitable for idiots like me! |

I personally prefer Nero, but I would suggest giving them both a try and use the one you feel most comfortable with. They are both quality programs.

Thanks for the instant help.... Nirvana that was agreat link. One writer mentioned instant CD/DVD. I found that on the taskbar! I can see that Christams is going to be one long playing around with my new PC! Luckily, my husband is the cook! You can see how much I value Webuser...it is now going on my links bar! |

For me, it has to be Nero. Easy to use and a nice interface. All I ever wanted was an honest weeks pay for an honest days work |

Don't want to upset things but you say "a choice of". Do you have both installed by Evesham? My understanding is having both can lead to conflicts. Nero doesn't like the competition. I've only used Nero, came with the drive. Wouldn't change it for any other, not one coaster. Nero likes the place to itself when working, no trying to open another program during the burning. I'm content to let it do so. I live in my own little world, but, it's OK, I'm known here. |

Thanks all. I tried to customise my links bar to get webuser up there...no joy. I am finding XP difficult after Win 98! I am going with Nero for now, although the Pinnacle Instant CD is sitting in the systray ready to use. I have Audigy 2 with Creative Inspire speakers...I have 4 small ones and one larger central one. They do not seem to work properly. Only hear sound from2 of them. I did a test on Audigy which said the fontsound had failed the test. I was wondering if I was supposed to put the Audigy CD in and install it, although Belarc recognised the Audigy programme on my system. You can see I need all the advice you guys can give! |

On the subject of organising your links bar. Just click on Favorites at the top and in the left hand panel which appears Add - Organise. Click on Organise and from the resulting dialogue box choose 'Make a New Folder' then when you are on this page just click on Add and choose the folder. XP's great to use, just give it time. Sorry I can't help on the speakers. I live in my own little world, but, it's OK, I'm known here. |
