has any cyber-surfers out there got a digital video camera and can answer these questions ? i've transfered files onto vcd with the softtware image mixer - i'm a bit disappointed with the results i.e slightly blocky etc - is this a setting on the camera , quality of blank cd-r , burning speed issue i'm downloading using a usb cable - would using the supplied dv cable improve matters the camera , a jvc gr-dx25 has excellent reviews and i'm wondering its probably a fault on my behalf - o/s system xp home , 256 memory , 1gb athlon , asrock motherboard do i need an improved video capture card ( do i have a capture card ) apologies for the amount of open questions but any advice would be appreciated the dv camera transfers to disc as mpeg1 by the way |

I don't use a Video camera, just a Fujii Digital for stills. One thing you do not mention is 'Firewire', I think that is a requirement, unless it's what's known as a capture card. Downloading to your computer should produce the same quality video from your camera. What video editing program have you installed?. Movie Maker 2, a free download from Microsoft, is a good alternative. I live in my own little world, but, it's OK, I'm known here. |
