BT Line

Hi all
I have just been quoted £124 for reconection as they say it needs an engineer, the line is underground to a grey connector box with several colours. They areblue, orange, Green, Brown and grey, all have a white wire alongside. My master box as White with blue rings to A and Blue with white rings to B the other end of these are connected to the grey box outside to a Blue and a white cable. Are these correct and do I need an engineer as I know this worked about 7 years ago before we went to cable and to my knowledge no one as tampered with them since. Can any one help Please?

Re: BT Line

Just connecting the wires up in the right order isn't going to get you a working BT telephone line. Someone will need to reconnect the DP out in the street and make some changes in the telephone exchange. If you want to go back to BT then you'll have to pay what ever they demand.
