Ethernet card or wireless usb connector?

I would appreciate some advice on behalf of a friend who is getting BT wireless home hub for broadband internet.

Their PC is approx 4/5yrs old HP something which doesn't have an ethernet card so would it be easier to fit an ethernet card or just use the hub to work wirelessly with one of those usb receivers that plugs into the PC?

Would a PC that old have the facility to accept an ethernet card? I've never had to fit one so I'm in the dark.

Here you are, an Ethernet card for £5 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Network-Ethernet-P...1QQcmdZViewItem

Just put it in a vacant PCI slot, 5 minutes work.

Re: Ethernet card or wireless usb connector?

My mate got the card and slotted it in no problem. It's up and running now.

Thanks again for the advice.
